Sapphire was chosen by Lyons to provide the highlighted colour cutouts on the new home of Australian Institute of Architects. The cutouts are highlighted with Sapphire’s Matt Sublime 25 micron finish to accent the buildings concrete patterned facade.
This project for the Australian Institute of Architects redevelops the Institute’s city site to create a new centre for Victorian architecture. Lyons was appointed following a design competition process, with the concept which explores ideas about the hybrid public/commercial building, engagement of the AIA with the public, and creating a benchmark sustainability project.
