Sapphire has supplied 4 striking anodised finishes for the new six level teaching building located at La Trobe University Bundoora in Victoria.
Matt Cinnamon, Matt Sandune, Matt Terracotta and Matt Wattle all in AA25 have been used across the facade of the building.
Upon completion, the $32 million facility will comprise lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, break out spaces and administration offices across approximately 7,500m² of floor area.
The facade will be constructed from over 200 feature precast panels with large double height glazed openings to the east elevation.
The building will be registered with the Green Building Council of Australia for a 5-star Green Star design rating under the Education v1 rating tool.
Works commence on site in early August with the building due for completion ahead of university year in 2014.
