Sapphire was approached by Sally Matthews of Matthews & Scavalli Architects to help with a pallet of colours and finishes that reflects the position of the new Kiosk 4 in Elizabeth Quay. Sally wanted to use finishes that would play with light and emit sublte changes as the light changed trhoughout the day.
Anodising with Sapphire’s unique colour pallet consisting of Matt Ice, Frost, Matt Champagne, Matt Neptune, Matt Nebbio and Matt Spectral Slate in 25 Microns fitted the requirement perfectly and was applied to Australia’s only manufactured composite panel – Symonite using a unique Heavy Duty fibre reinforced phenolic core resulting in a highly impact resistant panel unrivalled in the market.
Sally says “Yes I am very happy with the results, the anodising is giving off many tones and effects in all the different light levels”.
