SALE OF SAPPHIRE ALUMINIUM TO BORG GROUP
Dear Valued Customer/Supplier,
I hereby advise that the Husband family and the Borg Group have reached agreement for the sale of our companies including Sapphire Aluminium Pty ltd to the Borg Group. Transaction completion is subject to the finalisation of necessary transaction documents, and regulatory approvals and ownership is targeted to transfer to the Borg Group on 1st May 2026.
The Borg Group is a privately owned Australian business with a strong track record of investing in and growing businesses. Its diversified portfolio includes manufacturing; waste recycling; forestry; packaging; and engineering and automation services, employing over 3,500 people nationally. With a long-term, hands-on approach, the Group is committed to supporting businesses to grow sustainably while maintaining their market position, culture and customer focus.
Sapphire commenced operations back in 1974 and has steadily built a strong reputation for supplying quality in aluminium finishing and supply of aluminium products across Australia. The Husband family is very pleased that Sapphire will continue its 52 year old story under the stewardship of the Borg Group.
The company will continue to trade as Sapphire Aluminium Pty Ltd with myself, management team and employees remaining in place.
