This project is simply stunning that transforms what many associate with an industrial process into a building that is an artform on its own, whilst housing the latest technology in the dairy industry.
The segmented and flowing design is anything but boring and combined with Sapphire’s Matt Chilli simply transforms in the changing light of the day.
For Sapphire this is our most satisfying project to date, not only for the result but for the joy of working through the process to create this masterpiece with an Architect (Bosske), Builder (Perkins) & Facade Contractor (Denmac) that understood the vision required and delivered a high-quality outcome.
Caroline Hickey of Bosske Architects says,
“We wanted a product that brought out the full potential of the projects unique geometry. The spectral range of Anodised Aluminium suited the shape of the building adding a dimension to the façade that we couldn’t have anticipated. The project changes colour throughout the day, and with changing levels of light, transitions from a deep purple to bright red through to gold. It is like having three facades in one!”
This project encapsulates what can be delivered from Australian manufacturing and fabrication and will demonstrate it for many decades to come.
