The Cardinia Culture Centre has recently undertaken a transformation both internally and externally to provide a vibrant flexible space for the local community. Part of this transformation was changing a concrete rendered facade to a segmented anodising solid aluminium rainskin that complies with flammability as it is solid aluminium. The segmented facade features folds and resembles a snakes skin with scales across the building highlighting sublte changes in changing light.

The effect is that the facade changes in appearance during the day and under different lighting conditions and comes to life as it reflects the changing light and seasons around it.
