At the heart of Macquarie Bank’s new global headquarters in Sydney, Sapphire worked with providing coloured anodising to Normoyle Engineering who delivered a package of 30 individual feature staircases spanning multiple levels of the Metro Martin Place development. These architecturally striking stairs are central to the building’s design, connecting floors through dramatic open voids—some up to 10 stories above ground.

Sapphire’s Matt Cobalt and Matt Chilli were chosen as striking finishes for cladding for the internal interconnecting stair cases. Macquarie Banks sister building 50 Martin Place utilised Matt Citrus as the finish for the interconnecting stairs.
